Hello, and Welcome to AdJuggler 6! We have put this guide together to
help explain some of the new features we have added, and also to explain
how the new interface works. We hope this guide will help familiarize
you with AdJuggler 6, but as always, our support team is here to answer
any questions for you.
AdJuggler 6 represents one of the biggest
releases in the history of AdJuggler, and is also the culmination of
collected customer feedback, suggestions and requests over the past few
years. As you will see, AdJuggler has seen some dramatic changes, but
they have all been done to make AdJuggler even easier and more efficient
to use than ever.
AdJuggler Home Screen and Dashboard
One of the first things you'll notice when logging into AdJuggler 6 is
the Dashboard, part of the new "Home" view in AdJuggler. The Dashboard presents
a customizable set of graphs and charts that you can use to visualize
your AdJuggler data. All of these charts are customizable, and you can quickly
save a customized view by clicking "Set As Default" so it will be used
each time you return to the Dashboard view.
To the left you'll also see the new AdJuggler menu design. The Home screen
now provides direct access to Zone settings as well as system level Reports.
It is worth noting that the Advertisers and Publishers are now accessed using the
tabs at the top of the screen, rather than via the left-hand menu.
Customize Dashboard Settings
Each user can have their own customized Dashboard settings. If you edit
your main Primary Administrator account and go to the Dashboard section,
you will see an example of how you can change all of these options. As mentioned
above, you can also set any current view in the Dashboard to the Default view as well.
This shot also demonstrates more of the new "look" of AdJuggler 6, with a new
default color scheme and rounded tabs.
The Advertisers Menu
Clicking on the "Advertisers" tab will show you one of the other
changes in AdJuggler's UI. Rather than opening up a list
of Advertisers in the main menu, you will now see
a heirarchical list of advertisers displayed in the left-hand menu.
This list is fully navigable and searchable, but also introduces some
powerful new capabilities to managing your advertisers (the same concepts
also apply to publishers).
Viewing Campaigns and Ads
An advertiser can be uncollapsed by clicking the
little arrow to the left of it. By doing so, you will see that you
can view a list of Campaigns and Ads belonging to that advertiser, all
without ever having to actually login to it. Similarly,
when you use the search box here to perform a search, you will
instantly see Advertisers that match, as well as specific
Campaigns and Ads that match.
Adding and Editing Campaigns and Ads
One of the benefits of the new AdJuggler 6 menu is that you can
easily add new ads and campaigns right from the menu. When you hold your mouse over
a Campaigns or Ads folder for an advertiser, you will see an "Add New" button appear.
Clicking on it allows you to directly add a new campaign or ad.
You can also edit any campaign or ad from this point
without having to specifically manage an advertiser.
To Manage an Advertiser
Perhaps one of the biggest UI changes in
AdJuggler 6 is doing away with the concept of "logging in as"
an advertiser or publisher. Now you can easily manage
any advertiser or publisher without having to change views from the
administrator view.
We made this change because, in working with numerous AdJuggler customers,
we found that the concept of having to login and logout of
advertisers and publishers was sometimes confusing or time-consuming.
This new method makes it much easier to manage advertisers and
publishers in the same way without requiring
so many steps.
When you hold your mouse over an advertiser or publisher,
a "Manage" button will appear to the right of their name. Clicking
this button will allow you to manage the settings of that advertiser or
publisher.
Managing an Advertiser
Managing an advertiser provides you with access to all
of their ads, campaigns and settings as well as their
reports.
You do not need to "log out" of an advertiser once you are done managing
it. You can simply click on the Explorer menu or the Show All button
(the three stacked documents) to view all of the Advertisers again, or navigate
elsewhere in the AdJuggler interface.
Viewing And Adding Campaigns
Clicking on "Campaigns" will present a list of all
campaigns, including their realtime stats, current status
and start and end dates. From here you can edit
individual campaigns.
If you hold the mouse over the Campaigns or Ads menu items,
you will see an "Add New" button appear that will
allow you to add a new campaign or ad.
Viewing Recently Managed Advertisers

One of the other benefits of the new menu function is
that AdJuggler will remember the 5 most recently
managed advertisers or publishers. In this screenshot, you can see
the 5 most recently accessed advertisers at the bottom of the menu.
Clicking on one will allow you to instantly manage that advertiser.
Clicking the "Explorer" menu item or the Show All button (the stack
of three documents in the upper right hand corner) will show you the list
of all advertisers or publishers again.
New Campaign Targeting Section
This shot of the Campaign form provides another look
at the refined form interface design in AdJuggler 6.
More specifically, it also shows the new Campaign Targeting tab
and subtabs. All of the targeting options are now present as subtabs,
making them easier to find, and providing a cleaner and less
overwhelming campaign form.
Viewing Publishers
Just as with advertisers, clicking on the
Publishers tab presents a list of publishers.
You can view and edit Ad Spots without having to
actually manage a publisher.
Managing Publishers
Again, as with advertisers, managing
a publisher allows you to view all
settings associated with them, as well
as generate their ad tags and run their reports.
You can add new Ad Spots, Publisher-level Default Ads
and Review Ads while managing a publisher as well.
Viewing All Advertisers or Publishers
In order to view the list of all advertisers or publishers,
simply click the "Browse All" button, circled in red
in this shot. This will allow you to view all advertisers or publishers,
including their current status and realtime stats.
Generating an Inventory Report
Another new feature in AdJuggler 6 is the brand new
Inventory Report, available in the administrator's
Home Screen. The report itself is simple to setup,
simply requiring you to select the start and end dates
you want to cover for the Inventory report.
Viewing the Inventory Report
The inventory report will provide you with a list of
campaigns, registered/project impressions, the
shortfall number and the on track percentage. The color coding
key shows you how to recognize campaigns that are expected
to serve everything they are supposed to in the specified time
period, as well as those campaigns that will not.
Enabling/Disabling Features
New to AdJuggler 6 is the ability for the administrator
to define which features will and won't be available
in the system. This can be done from the new "Features" tab
in the "Zone Settings" form, available from the Home screen.
This allows you to create a more streamlined
AdJuggler experience if you desire; if you don't want geo-targeting
or post-clicking features to be available, for example, all you have
to do is uncheck them from the "Features" section, and all
related menu and form items for these features will disappear.
Defining Admin Access Rights
AdJuggler 6 introduces more advanced options for
customizing administrators. Previously it was only
possible to create an Administrator who either had
total access to everything or read-only access to everything.
With the new expanded Access Rights section for administrator
accounts, you can now create an Administrator who has read-only
access to Advertisers and full read/modify access for Publishers.
Or you can create an Administrator with no access to Advertisers at all,
and just read-only access to Publishers. Or an Administrator
without Advertiser or Publisher access, only able to read and modify reports.
Giving Admins Access to Specific Advertisers and Publishers
Something else you will see when creating or editing an Administrator
account is the presence of two new tabs; Advertisers and Publishers.
By default, an Administrator has access to all advertisers and publishers
in the system. However, by clicking on the Advertisers or Publishers
tab for an administrator, and then clicking on "Select Advertisers to Manage"
or "Select Publishers to Manage", you will see the following screen.
This allows you to select specific advertisers or publishers an administrator
can actually access. One of the most requested features in AdJuggler was the ability
to create specialized accounts which would only have access to specific accounts, not the entire system.
With this new functionality, this is now a possibility. So, for example, if you have
an account rep who is responsible for just a specific group of advertisers, you can now
create a special admin account for them with just advertiser access, and specifically
access to just the specific advertisers they are responsible for.
